On 14 November 2025, the conference “The evolution of the DNSH principle: from the NRRP to the Social Climate Fund” was held in Perugia, offering an in-depth discussion on the implementation of the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle, a cornerstone of EU environmental and financial policies.
During the roundtable “Origins and evolution of the DNSH principle: from the Taxonomy Regulation to the NRRP and the Social Climate Fund”, Avv. Andrea Farì illustrated the regulatory milestones that have progressively expanded the scope of DNSH, showing how it has become a key tool for assessing the environmental compatibility of public and private investments.
The intervention addressed the main interpretative and operational challenges faced by implementing bodies and operators, focusing on verification obligations, assessment methodologies and interactions with environmental impact procedures.
The event provided a clear and updated overview of the European context, highlighting how the evolution of DNSH will increasingly influence policy-making, investment planning and the governance of the ecological transition.
