Ermanno Fonderico holds a degree in Economics and Law and is qualified to practise as a chartered accountant and auditor.

He was an expert member of the Study Commission appointed by the Ministry of Finance to reorganise tax concessions and exemptions (Decree of the Ministry of Finance, 14.09.90).

He was a member of the Commission for the validation of sector studies upon designation by the National Institute of Auditors (Decree of the Ministry of Finance, 10 November 1998).

He has held corporate positions as a Board Member and Chairman of companies, including financial companies, as well as Statutory Auditor and Chairman of Boards of Statutory Auditors (he is currently Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Hydro Aluminium Slim S.p.a.).

As Vice President of the Direct Taxes and Extraordinary Operations Commission of the Association of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Rome until 2012, he coordinated the “Tax Effects of IAS” working group.

As well as having published articles and notes on rulings in important legal journals, he is the author of various entries for the Treccani Legal Encyclopaedia and for the UTET Italian Fiscal Guide.

He has participated as a speaker at numerous conferences and has held teaching positions in courses and master’s classes in his areas of expertise at the main Italian institutions and universities.
